This includes smoke alarms in your primary and secondary rooms, typically your living room and bedroom, as well as a smoke alarm in open spaces like staircases and hallways. You will need heat alarms in your kitchen too.
Smoke Alarms Now Must be Interlinked
First of all, your alarms are going to have to be interlinked, which means that if one of your alarms goes off; they all go off too, giving you the earliest chance possible to take action.

It essentially means that if you can access your alarm’s battery, it is no longer eligible under the new laws.
