Project Description
Houston Industrial Park, Livingston
Comprehensive Electrical and Mechanical Installations for Modern Commercial Spaces

AC Gold provided tailored electrical and mechanical installations for Houston Industrial Park, ensuring flexible office and warehouse systems, including lighting, power, and heating solutions.
Located in the historic shale oil region of Livingston, Houston Industrial Park was developed in 2012 to offer modern, flexible retail units for businesses. This site, built on the legacy of West Lothian’s first oil boom, has evolved from a key mining area into a thriving commercial hub.
After the initial construction of the park, AC Gold was tasked with providing internal partitioning and comprehensive Mechanical and Electrical installations, tailored to the needs of retail tenants. Our work included:
- Office Areas: Design and installation of T8 fluorescent lighting with CAT 2 light diffusion, clean power points, RJ45 communication data points, and server setup, all via high-level containment and dado trunking.
- Warehousing: Gas space heating, high bay lighting, 3-phase power, IP-rated isolators, mechanical ventilation, emergency lighting, and external LED yard lighting.
- Electrical Distribution: Installation of 600Amp MCB Type 2 switchboards, surge protection, power factor correction, 3-phase submains, and consumer units with Type A RCBOs and motor-rated RCBOs.
