Solar PV Framework

AC Gold delivered solar PV design, installation and monitoring for North Lanarkshire Council’s schools, ensuring smooth integration with live operational sites.

AC Gold was appointed as a top ranking contractor for North Lanarkshire Council’s Solar PV framework, responsible for the full design, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of solar PV systems across multiple school buildings.

Over the course of a one year contract, we installed PV arrays on existing roofs, with connections to each building’s main LV board. Our team also carried out all necessary rewiring and electrical upgrades to ensure safe and efficient integration.

Our Delivery Approach

All installations met or exceeded industry standards and were delivered in full compliance with MCS, SELECT, and NICEIC criteria. Fixings, materials, and installation methods adhered strictly to regulatory requirements and best practices.

Handover and Support

AC Gold provided custom operation and maintenance manuals for each system. We also offered post-installation support, including staff training, consultations, and optional monitoring solutions with environmental sensors and LAN integration.

We managed all aspects of Feed-in Tariff registration, ensuring proper certification through the MCS and FIT databases and liaison with the energy suppliers.

Safe Working in Live Environments

With extensive experience working on live, secure sites — particularly in the education sector — we followed strict health and safety protocols to minimise disruption and ensure the safety of pupils, staff, and visitors during all phases of work.

Compliance & Coordination

Delivered fully in line with the client’s specifications and regulatory standards, including CDM Regulations 2015, the project saw close collaboration between our site team and the Council. We managed everything from initial surveys and system design to installation and implementation of live performance monitoring across multiple school sites.
