Electrical Inspection and Compliance Works

AC Gold delivered electrical inspections, compliance works and remedial upgrades for Partick Housing Association, ensuring tenant satisfaction and full regulatory compliance.

AC Gold was the primary contractor for a long-term framework agreement with Partick Housing Association, delivering electrical inspection and compliance works across their housing stock in Glasgow from January 2014 to December 2018.

This £500,000+ contract involved the testing and certification of electrical installations in accordance with the UK national standard for electrical installation and safety of electrical wiring systems, which at the time was the BS 7671 electrical standard (now the 18th edition BS7671:2018). Our team provided a complete Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) for each property, identifying any non-compliance and undertaking all remedial electrical works to ensure full regulatory conformity.

Engaging with Tenants and Improving Access

As a trusted electrical contractor for social housing providers, AC Gold took a proactive role in managing appointments, liaising directly with tenants to minimise disruption and increase engagement. Our process helped improve productivity while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

In partnership with Partick Housing Association’s Property Compliance & Upgrade Team, we coordinated EICR inspections with routine gas and electricity meter readings. This integrated approach helped streamline compliance responsibilities and reduced the burden on tenants.

Process Improvements & Regulatory Compliance

To support the ongoing compliance of the housing stock, our contract team developed and implemented an effective materials ordering system, ensuring timely availability of essential components such as MI switches for programmed properties.

Every upgrade and remedial task was carried out in line with the most recent 18th Edition standards, reaffirming our position as a leading provider of electrical compliance services for housing associations throughout Glasgow and the Central Belt.
